It's not too early to register for Camp TNT 2012! Next year, we are breaking up the age groups into 9-11 and 12-14.

Technology and Film
Each 5-day session is $350 and includes meals, lodging and all activities.
GIRLS AGES 12-14:
June 10th-19th
Engineer and Program a Robot!
July 15th-24th
Each 10-day session is $500 and includes meals, lodging and all activities.

Don't have a TechGYRL, but want to help create the next generation of women scientists, engineers and computer experts? Donate $350 or $500 to send a girl to camp next summer. Every year, we have more girls interested in this amazing opportunity that do not have the means to go. All sponsors are so appreciated and will be invited to meet the girls at camp next summer and see their projects! All donations to the YWCA are tax-deductible!

TechGYRLS® is a National YWCA program developed in response to the widening gender gap in girls' exposure to and interest in technology. Studies show that while girls and boys have the same aptitude for technology, participation rates for girls in technology subjects begin to drop by middle school and continue to decline through high school.
YWCA Middle Rio Grande's TechGYRLS® program provides middle school girls from underserved, low income communities with opportunities for intensive exploration of technology. Program participants personally select engaging and hands-on projects that foster problem solving and encourage mastery of technical challenges.
This highly successful and fun program broadens girls' knowledge and helps them develop confidence in using technology. Furthermore, it helps girls envision career opportunities in technology that await them.
